OKM Music Festival is an annual, multi-genre music festival held each June in Bartlesville, Okla.  The festival is a week-long, multi-location event with professional orchestra musicians, concert artists and musical performances of the highest caliber. Concert artists include pop, country, rock, classical, chamber, jazz, blues and contemporary. One of the mainstays is the beloved outdoor concert at Woolaroc, featuring a performance under the stars next to Clyde Lake.

A new addition last season provided a free concert as a thank-you to the community for all its support during OKM’s more than 30 years.

In addition to concert events, OKM offers showcase events that feature music acts or educational speakers in a more intimate venue. Plus, children’s events provide an educational and enriching experience for the youngest music lovers!

Over the River and Through the Woods is a comedy about Nick, a single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey. His parents retired and moved to Florida. That doesn’t mean his family isn’t still in Jersey. In fact, he sees both sets of his grandparents every Sunday for dinner. This is routine until he has to tell them that he’s been offered a dream job. The job he’s been waiting for—marketing executive—would take him away from his beloved, but annoying, grandparents. He tells them, and the news doesn’t sit so well. Thus begins a series of schemes to keep Nick around. How could he betray his family’s love to move to Seattle, for a job, wonder his grandparents? Well, Frank, Aida, Nunzio and Emma do their level best, and that includes bringing to dinner the lovely—and single—Caitlin O’Hare as bait.

    7:30 AM-3:00 PM
    Jun/25/18

Golf enthusiasts have a great opportunity to spend a day on an 18-hole championship course while helping to raise funds to help organizations and individuals throughout southwest Oklahoma.
The 10th annual Cotton Electric Charitable Foundation (CECF) Summer Classic will be June 25 at The Territory Golf and Country Club in Duncan. The tournament is held to raise awareness of CECF and to generate funds for Operation Round Up (ORU).
ORU is primarily funded by Cotton Electric Cooperative members who “round up” their monthly bill to the nearest dollar. The funds are administered by CECF, which meets quarterly to consider grant applications. Since its inception in 2004, CECF has awarded more than $1 million to volunteer fire departments, youth, senior citizen and public safety organizations, schools, communities and individuals throughout the Cotton Electric service area.
Registration for the four-person scramble will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:30. The registration fee of $600 per team will include range balls, cart, and a meal following the round.
Individual, team and door prizes will be awarded.
To enter, players’ names and handicap or average scores can be faxed to 580-875-3101. Deadline for entries and fee payment is Monday, June 11.
Two levels of hole sponsorship are available. Hole sponsors who also enter a team receive a $100 discount on entry fees.
